The BMW G30 is the seventh generation of passenger cars of the German brand BMW 5 Series in the G30 body. Introduced to the public in October 2016 and is the successor to the F10 generation. The car is built on the same platform as the BMW 7 Series G11 generation , so the new model has increased in size. It is also similar in appearance to BMW's flagship. In February 2017, a station wagon version was introduced (internal index G31 ) . There is also a version with an extended wheelbase specifically for the Chinese market under the symbol G38 . In 2020, the model was restyled.

Sales of the BMW G30 began in February 2017 .
